Vermont Food Consulting Services has developed a special assistance for new businesses. This package includes:

·         An initial product development consultation within 20 miles of Morrisville after which the entrepreneur will have a detailed “road map” to starting a food business. (Mileage and travel time will apply outside 20 mile radius.)

·         Reasonable on-going phone and e-mail consultation.

·         Conversion of recipe into an interactive spreadsheet that calculates ingredient amount for various batch sizes.

·         Review of final formula for food safety review prior to submission to university-based Food Processing Authority, if necessary.

·         Logistic planning assistance for first commercial size test batch.

The total package cost is $500. Customers may opt to pay $125 for the initial consultation which can be applied toward the cost of the total package within six months.

Assistance with actual scale-up or test batches for customers is available for $50 per hour within 20 miles of Morrisville. (A four hour minimum applies. Mileage and travel time will apply outside 20 mile radius.)
